Monument 14

Monument 14 - Emmy Laybourne

This was a great book! The story was interesting, it's about a group of kids who take shelter in a superstore. A huge volcanic eruption triggered monster waves and floods the east. In Colorado, where the kids in the store are, huge pieces of hail rain down. The kids, going to school, find themselves caught by the hail, and their bus crashes in the superstore. The kids, ages 5-18, learn to live together and try to survive. This was a sorta realistic fiction, sorta dystopian. I mean, people nowadays could live in superstores. This isn't an action book, it was a little suspenseful. What I liked about the book was the author's writing style, it was smooth and easy to read and easy to process. 3.5 stars
